Description

The following project finds its roots in the need assessment phase, conducted by CeVI together with partners and different stakeholders, from which various critical factors emerged such as economic and employment instability, high rates of youth unemployment and in particular of NEETs, lack of professional training courses, social exclusion and marginalisation of vulnerable groups. From the analysis of these elements, CeVI together with the partners CVCS, ENAIP FVG, Progrès Universel,Regional Office of Crafts of Daloa, Municipality of Djébonoua, DPJEJ and Saint Camille de Lellis has developed an intervention strategy pursuing the SDG 8 (target 8.5 and 8.6) “Promote sustained, inclusive and sustainable economic growth, full and productive employment and decent work for all”. The following proposal aims to promote and encourage the social and working inclusion of the most vulnerable groups such as young people without training and employment (NEET), women, minors in conflict with the law and mentally ill people in the areas of Daloa, Djébonoua and Bouaké. The target group taken into consideration constantly experiences a state of marginalisation and stigma due to ethnic, cultural, health and gender characteristics. To achieve this objective, two key results have been identified: the first refers to SDG 4 (target 4.3) and provides for "the strengthening of professional training, career orientation, business start-up and social protection services" through the promotion of training courses focused on a "Know-how" approach aimed at key figures both in the training sector such as teachers, educators, officials, and in the business sector such as artisans, entrepreneurs, representatives of chambers of commerce. In particular, different training cycles will be organised by some external consultants specialised in technical, management, pedagogical and computer knowledge. Furthermore, orientation experts will be trained to guide young people in their search for training and employment paths while simultaneously studying the evolution of the job market. Finally, in the entrepreneurial sector, entrepreneurship and business start-up paths will be created to allow key figures in the sector to specialise in technical-professional and good governance skills. The 2nd result aims to "increase employment opportunities and launch business start-ups in the intervention areas, in particular for women, young people, people with mental health problems and minors in conflict with the law". To allow people who find themselves in particular conditions of social and economic fragility in the intervention territories, training courses will be created in order to facilitate the acquisition of specialised professional skills acquired and recognized at national level, which allows easier access to the world of work, characterised by a demand for qualified resources with specific skills. The trainings will be organised by different partners based on the areas of intervention and the target group taken into consideration, in particular Progres Universel will develop courses for young people and women in Djébonoua; Saint Camille de Lellis towards the mentally ill in Bouaké and finally CeVI with minors in conflict with the law in the penitentiary institutions of Daloa and Bouakè. In addition to accessing training courses, the beneficiaries will have the opportunity to participate in work experiences at companies in the area and to start independent income-generating activities. Finally, awareness campaigns will be organised with the aim of stimulating the Ivorian authorities, the CSOs and the local community towards the social and working inclusion of fragile and vulnerable subjects in particular, minors in conflict with the law, mentally ill people and women. read more close
