Description

INCLINA's general objective is to contribute to full employment and the promotion of decent work for all in Guatemala, including women and people with disabilities, within the framework of sustainable and inclusive economic growth in the private sector (SDG 8). Specifically, the initiative aims to increase decent and inclusive employment opportunities for women and People with Disabilities (PWD) living in the departments of Sololá, Quetzaltenango, Quiché, and Totonicapán. This objective aligns with the country's political and economic strategies (National Decent Employment Policy 2017-2032) aimed at promoting inclusive, sustainable growth through training and employment for the most vulnerable groups in the population. INCLINA intends to address the unmet needs of the most vulnerable groups, such as women and PWD, who, due to structural, social, and economic factors, have limited participation in the country's economic development. This will be achieved through 2 intervention axes corresponding to 2 expected results, starting from a gender and disability mainstreaming. R1 -Women and PWD in the intervention areas improve their access to professional training paths that meet the dynamics of the local market, SDG 4- addresses one of the main needs identified in response to the problem of socioeconomic inclusion and high levels of informal work among vulnerable groups: the difficulty of access for women and PWD to technical professional training services and soft skills. Therefore, within this result, the aim is to ensure the target subjects' accessibility to technical professional training services relevant to the economic sectors of the territory by adapting these services inclusively, strengthening soft skills and integrating career guidance, internships, and job-placement services. This result also addresses stereotypes that create socio-cultural barriers leading to the exclusion and marginalization of women and PWD from the labor market through the promotion of an inclusive environment via multistakeholder training, advocacy actions, and social communication. R2 -160 inclusive MSMEs are sustainably integrated into the local socio-economic fabric generating income, SDGs 8 and 5- addresses the problem of limited sustainability and economic growth prospects of the MSME sector, especially in rural areas. Many local initiatives remain confined to the informal sector with limited access to services. Additionally, the opportunities for PWD to enter the entrepreneurial world are extremely low, forcing them into chronic and entrenched work exclusion due to a lack of tools, policies, and an inclusive culture. Therefore, R2 aims to strengthen the entrepreneurial fabric inclusively by enhancing the business model of 100 MSMEs and creating 60 start-ups through technical, economic, financial, and commercial support, increasing their productivity. Finally, this result aims to foster the dissemination of an inclusive work culture and contribute to the production of data on the effective participation of PWD in the labor market. The 36-month action will be implemented by CISV in partnership with a group of Italian (COE, MAIS, PIN) and local (ALTERNA, CDRO, AMIVR, ASOREMI, CONADI, CAMCIG, MMA) partners who will contribute, each in their area of expertise according to a clear division of roles and thematic and territorial functions, to the achievement of the results and objectives. Activities will be carried out in close synergy with a series of institutional actors (primarily INTECAP) to ensure the future sustainability of the intervention. read more close
