Description

The program is designed to merge two originally separate initiatives: the project in support of the "Multi-donor program of assistance to the Ministry of Education for the strengthening of the Education Management Information System (EMIS)" worth EUR 1,000,000 and with UNESCO as the implementing partner , and the program “Support for the digital transformation of the Jordanian public administration” worth EUR 2,000,000 with EPLO and the WB as implementing partners. The program is structured into three main components aimed at supporting digital transformation, improving educational management, and enhancing institutional capacities in Jordan. This initiative seeks to advance the digital transformation of Jordan's public administration through three components. The first component focuses on providing technical assistance to the Ministry of Health (MoH) to achieve results under the "People-Centric Governance Program for Results" (P180291) by offering technical support to strengthen the digital capabilities of the public sector. The second component is the support to the Institute of Public Administration (IPA), which also stimulated the second phase of project AID 012426, implemented by EPLO (European Public Law Organization). During formal meetings, a strong interest emerged in developing, among other aspects, the components related to the Innovation Lab conceived during the project's first phase. This component focuses on strengthening the Institute of Public Administration (IPA), aiming to improve the digital and managerial skills of public sector staff. Through collaboration with international experts, advanced training programs will be implemented to increase the efficiency and effectiveness of public administration. The third component is the Support to the Education System (SSPP), a multilateral project active since 2018 and financed through a Multi-Partner Trust Fund (MPTF), aiming to improve strategic planning, data analysis, and resource management within Jordan’s Ministry of Education (MoE). AICS contributed EUR 800,000 between 2020 and 2022 and plans a new funding of EUR 1 million to support the final stages of the program. The implementation is led by UNESCO in collaboration with the MoE, with a focus on developing OpenEMIS and other monitoring and evaluation activities. read more close
