The project also contributes to the pursuit of Objective 11: Make inclusive, safe, durable and sustainable cities and human settlements, (11.3) Strengthen inclusive and sustainable urbanisation and the capacity for participatory, integrated and sustainable human settlement planning and management in all countries, (11.6) Reduce the negative per capita environmental impact of cities, paying particular attention to air quality and the management of urban and other wastes, (11. 7) Provide universal access to inclusive and accessible green and safe public spaces, particularly for women, children, the elderly and people with disabilities (11.7a) Support positive economic, social and environmental links between urban, peri-urban and rural areas by strengthening national and regional national and regional development planning (11.7b) Significantly increase the number of cities and human settlements that adopt and implement integrated policies and plans aimed at inclusiveness, resource efficiency, climate change mitigation and adaptation, disaster resilience, and that promote and implement holistic disaster risk management at all levels, in line with the Sendai Framework for Disaster Risk Reduction 2015-2030 read more close
