Description

The project aims to strengthen the resilience of internally displaced persons (IDPs) and host communities in Sudan by enhancing access to livelihood opportunities and basic services. The project will focus on improving access to critical services and non-food items and enhancing food and livelihood security of both IDPs and host communities through home gardening and other off-farm livelihood interventions, including vocational skills training. The initiative will foster social cohesion and peaceful co-existence between displaced groups and host community members. The project will coordinate with humanitarian actors to ensure synergies and complementarity. The project will leverage the existing community structures and field presence of UNDP Sudan. The project will target 30.820 beneficiaries in the two selected localities in Gedaref and Kassala State for 36 months. read more close
