Description
The current initiative aims to provide an organized framework for the social, economic, and environmental development, sustainable and holistic, of a portion of the Leticia territory. The intervention plans to establish a participatory process of sustainable and resilient urban planning, fostering the strengthening of the local governance, in terms of sustainable territorial planning, economic development and conservation of urban biodiversity, in line with the Colombian government's program "Ciudades Biodiversas y Resilientes”." In particular, with the involvement of the National Institute of Urban Planning, a Masterplan will be developed for the areas of greatest tourist convergence in the city of Leticia: the civil port and the market square. The methodology for the Masterplan's development will be published and subject to specific online training for officials in San Andrés, ensuring its replicability and multiplying the desired impact.
