Description
The initiative aims to promote the strengthening of the resilience of the most vulnerable communities in the Provinces of Zambezia, Manica and Tete, most affected by the extreme weather events during 2022 and 2023, through the restoration of basic essential services, agriculture and health, with a focus on strengthening local governments in the area of Prepardness and Early Disaster Management. The programme will support the primary sector, predominantly agriculture, through support for agricultural production and livestock farming, conducted with climate-smart practices and technologies, participatory and sustainable natural resource management and climate change risk management planning, food security for the most vulnerable populations will be enhanced. This will be complemented by the strengthening of basic WASH and nutrition services. The proposed action will use a gender mainstreaming approach
