Description

The project will support sustainable development (from a productive, economic and environmental point of view) of the fruit, vegetables, rice and tobacco value chains in Mozambique by promoting the use of a climate-smart agriculture technology. Specifically, the mulch film in Mater-Bi, biodegradable and able to guarantee higher yields per hectare, better quality product, reduction of the use of plant protection products, of chemical inputs and less water for irrigation. The main expected results are: the creation of n. 12 jobs in addition to the extension officers of the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development of Mozambique; the income increase of small producers who will use the new technology; the increase of people with access to climate-smart agriculture technologies through public and private rural network extension. read more close
