Description

In line with the objectives of the Education Strategic Plan (2018-2022) and of the 10-Year Strategy for Inclusive Education, intends to strengthen the sustained and inclusive participation of school-aged children with disabilities or special needs to quality formal education. To this end, the initiative intends to tackle the many barriers that still hinder the access and the participation of children with disabilities to mainstream school, by working on three main strategic axes, namely family, school, and community. In this sense, the program aims to contribute creating the conditions for the inclusive education of persons with disabilities. The initiative that will be implemented in collaboration with CSO to be selected in accordance to relevant Italian Cooperation procedures, expects to achieve the following results: 1. Improved conditions of families with children with disabilities and special needs in order to support access and participation to education services; 2. Improved capacities of communities and families to actively promote a positive attitude towards disability and inclusive education; 3. Improved the capacity of schools to promote and support the inclusive and sustained participation of children with disabilities to mainstream education. read more close
