Description
The Lebanon Humanitarian Fund (LHF) is one of the OCHA's Country - Based Pooled Funds (CBPF). It was established in 2014 in order to allow the timely provision of resources made available by donors to meet the most urgent humanitarian needs in the context of the response to the consequences of the Syrian crisis in Lebanon. The LHF is managed by the Humanitarian Coordinator (HC) for Lebanon, supported by OCHA and an Advisory Board. The LHF finances the activities envisaged by the Lebanon Crisis Response Plan (LCRP, the national strategic plan that aims to respond to the immediate needs of the vulnerable population and to strengthen the resilience of refugees and host communities). The implementing partners of the LHF are national and international NGOs, specialized agencies of the United Nations and the International Red Cross and Red Crescent Movement. The LHF is mostly funded with contributions from UN member states.
