Il LHF è stato istituito nel 2014 al fine di consentire la tempestiva erogazione delle risorse messe a disposizione dai donatori per far fronte ai bisogni umanitari più urgenti nell'ambito della risposta alle conseguenze della crisi siriana in Libano. Il LHF è gestito dal Coordinatore umanitario (HC) per il Libano, supportato dall'OCHA e da un Advisory Board. Il LHF finanzia le attività previste dal Lebanon Crisis Response Plan (LCRP, il piano strategico nazionale che mira a rispondere ai bisogni immediati della popolazione vulnerabile e a rafforzare la resilienza dei rifugiati e delle comunità ospitanti). I partner attuatori del LHF sono ONG nazionali e internazionali, agenzie specializzate delle Nazioni Unite e il Movimento Internazionale della Croce Rossa e della Mezzaluna Rossa. Il LHF è finanziato con contributi degli Stati membri delle Nazioni Unite. |

It was established in 2014 in order to allow the timely provision of resources made available by donors to meet the most urgent humanitarian needs in the context of the response to the consequences of the Syrian crisis in Lebanon. The LHF is managed by the Humanitarian Coordinator (HC) for Lebanon, supported by OCHA and an Advisory Board. The LHF finances the activities envisaged by the Lebanon Crisis Response Plan (LCRP, the national strategic plan that aims to respond to the immediate needs of the vulnerable population and to strengthen the resilience of refugees and host communities). The implementing partners of the LHF are national and international NGOs, specialized agencies of the United Nations and the International Red Cross and Red Crescent Movement.The LHF is mostly funded with contributions from UN member states. |
