Description

The initiative aims at improving the qualitative level of knowledge of tourist operators from the partner countries of Italian Development Cooperation in the field of sustainable tourism. It aims also, in collaboration with the students trained in similar programs, at the creation of an open and dynamic operational network to be permanently consolidated in the coming years. This general goal will be achieved through three main activities: a) realization of an Autumn School on Sustainable Tourism (6 weeks) for 25 participants from different countries from North Africa and Middle East, with the specific objective of improving their knowledge and, additionally, turning some of them into local antennas for the selection of future candidate trainees; b) realization of a Spring School on Sustainable Tourism (5 weeks) for 25 participants from different countries, but oriented to geographical areas other than the Mediterranean; c) creation of a pilot information and communication platform for the alumni who benefited of training initiatives promoted and/or financed by the Italian Development Cooperation, starting with those related with sustainable tourism and related topics, with a long term vision of collecting, organizing and rationally structuring all the past experience of the Italian development cooperation, to project it into the future. read more close
