Description

This initiative is the second phase of MobiTRE, a project focusing on the creation of entrepreneurial partnerships between the Tunisian diaspora and young people/women resident in the disadvantaged areas of Tunisia (governorates of Kef and Jendouba in the North-West, and governorates of Medenine and Tataouine in the South), asa tool to mitigate unemployment, illegal migration and brain drain. In the framework of the II phase, IOM will implement activities according to 5 strategic axes: 1) axe ‘governance’, aimed at supporting the local Tunisian institution to improve their assistance to the diaspora, entrepreneurs, unemployed people/job seekers, and to facilitate partnership and job creation; 2) axe ‘diaspora’ providing support to the groups of Tunisians Residents Abroad (TRE) and raising awareness regarding the role they can play as development partners; 3) axe ‘consolidation’ to strengthen the results achieved in the I phase with reference to enterprises and job created, in order to ensure the enterprises sustainability and the new employments to last; 4) axe ‘new enterprises’, aimed at duplicating the mechanism used in the I phase to create entrepreneurial partnership between the Tunisian diaspora residing in Italy, France, Germany, Saudi Arabia and Ivory Coast, and young people/women residing in areas having high migration index, selected through a competitive process; 5) axe ‘commercialization ed export’ aimed at supporting the all the created enterprises in their seek for new market or online trades. In the process of selecting the new enterprises foreseen for axe 4, priority will be given to women and youth coming from the target areas to vulnerable people and to business project aiming at Social and Solidarity Economy, likely to create direct/indirect jobs, supporting green economy and ecology sustainability. read more close
