Description
The proposed project aims to promote the resilience and social well-being of vulnerable Palestine refugee students, with a particular focus on children with disabilities and special educational needs, by improving inclusive education services and promoting access to safe and quality learning environments. Specifically, the program has the dual objective of: 1. Strengthening inclusive education by providing support to children with special educational needs and/or disabilities in UNRWA schools and improving access to structured and unstructured psychosocial activities. 2. Increasing access to a safe, quality, equitable and inclusive physical learning environment for Palestine refugee students affected by the conflict. The project is aligned with the UNRWA Strategic Plan 2023-2028, the Lebanon Response Plan and the Sustainable Development Goals, in particular Goal 4 on quality education. The proposed activities aim to ensure that Palestine refugee children and youth, including those with disabilities, have access to quality, equitable and inclusive education, and to promote their social inclusion and participation in community life.
