Description
The project will be implemented in Lybia and will build on the previous experience in the sectors of the members of the consortium and more specifically of WeWorld, with the overall objective of promoting professional development of Lybian youths and in particular inclusion of the most vulnerable groups including women in line with the SDGs 4 and 8 so as to contribute to the generation of dignified employment opportunities based on capacity improvement of youths and more vulnerable groups within the context of a dynamic and innovative private sector in Tripoli (Specific objective). In order to increase the technical offer in the green economy sector and services to companies and INGOs, hence responding to the need of increased employability of youths (women and PDA in particular) (ER 1 – purpose code 11430), outreach activities are foreseen (A.1.1), provision of practice equipment for green economy courses (A.1.2), development of professional and university courses. Further to this, in order to contribute to increasing the number of new employment opportunities in the green sectors and services to INGOs and international companies, responding to the need to increase job opportunities (ER 2 – purpose code 16020), the project will ensure stage opportunities with international companies (A.2.1), training on occupational health and safety, first response (A.2.2), support to self employment (A.2.3) and strengthening of life skills among youths and young women especially (A.2.4). Finally, the project intends to strengthen capacities, coordination among actors, institutions and training institutions in the sectors targeted to respond to the need to increase inclusion in the workplace in Tripoli (ER3 purpose code 25030). To achieve this ER, the project foresees the creation of an e-commerce platform (A.3.1), the organization of job fairs (A.3.2.), advocacy and training of the public administration officials on potential of green economy and decent work, occupational and health issues, inclusive approach (A.3.3). Each member of the consortium will bring to the project its added value in terms of previous and ongoing experience, knowledge and expertise in the sector. WeWorld will coordinate the consortium and will implement activities A.1.1; A.1.2; A.1.3; A.2.1; A.2.2; A.3.1; A.3.3, Super Novae will be in charge of implementing the activities A.2.3, A2.4 e A3.2. Finally, ènostra will be in charge of A.1.2; A.1.4 and BINA will provide expertise to implement A.2.3. It is estimated that the project will reach a total of more than 50.000 youths in particular women and marginalized groups who will benefit from increased capacity, employability skills in the Tripoli Municipality with indirect beneficiaries across the country.
