Description
Voluntary contribution to IILA in support to the project "Nossa Senhora Aparecida" School. The project aims to build a completely free educational centre, including vocational schools, for children and young people, from age 6 to 18, in serious situations of hardship and social vulnerability. The aim is to create a building that is articulated on the model of a village, with squares and streets that represent places for socialising. Among the planned spaces: sports area, kitchen; dining hall; halls and auditorium. The use of photovoltaic panels and green spaces/courtyards is planned, designed to reduce the environmental impact of the school complex and highlight the commitment to sustainable architecture that is integrated with the surrounding environment. The school curriculum will include the teaching of the subjects required by Brazilian law, but also a wide range of cultural programmes and sports activities, such as music, theatre, dance, and performing arts workshops. There will be essential services, such as a canteen with annexed kitchen, a gymnasium and an auditorium. The contribution is consistent with SDG 4, particularly target 4.1 (By 2030, ensure that all girls and boys complete free, equitable and quality primary and secondary education leading to relevant and effective learning outcomes).
