Description
The work of UNIDROIT through the International Programme for Law and Development -Africa Plus 2025 has a transversal impact on the implementation of the 2030 Agenda and contributes directly to SDG 4 (Provide quality, equitable and inclusive education and learning opportunities for all) and especially to SDG 16 (Promote peaceful and inclusive societies for sustainable development, provide access to justice for all and build effective, accountable and inclusive institutions at all levels, in particular targets 16.6 and 16.8). To this end, it is proposed, inter alia, to provide quality training in private international law for the benefit of magistrates, law clerks and lawyers. Training, particularly in the area of foreign investment and international trade, enables it to strengthen capacities in the African countries of origin of course participants, in areas that are fundamental for development, thus also contributing to SDG 1 (eradicating poverty), SDG 8 (decent work and economic growth) and SDG 10 (reducing inequality).
