Description

The Congolese Government aims at improving the health of its citizens by promoting the well-being of all at all ages through improved access to integrated, continuous and person-centred health care. This Support Programme aims to contribute to the national budget of the Republic of Congo in the health sector in order to promote access to and expand coverage of quality health services in public hospitals to favour the improvement of the health conditions of the population of Congo. This support is intended to promote the effectiveness and efficiency of the Congolese health sector, specifically by strengthening the technical platform of the country's reference health facilities through the supply of quality diagnostic equipment and surgical instruments, and the establishment of a mechanism to manage this equipment ensuring its proper use and maintenance by competent and specialised personnel, in line with the country's sectoral policies and strategic plans. This will allow the competent authorities to establish an autonomous, efficient and standardised health technical platform management system at the national level backed by the presence of local professionals with the necessary technical skills to ensure its availability and its effectiveness. read more close
