Description
The General Objective (Impact) of the initiative is to support Libyan institutions in effectively controlling weapons and ammunitions, preventing illicit proliferation and responding to the threat of explosive ordnance, to enable people in Libya to live in a safe environment conducive to sustainable peace and development. The specific objective is Libyan institutions reduce the risk of explosive ordnance. To achieve these objectives, the initiative aims to mobilize and operationalize two EOD teams and one NTS team that will deploy and safely clear priority contaminated areas, reinforcing existing mine action capacities of Libyan institutions (LibMAC).
