Description

The WFP, over a period of 36 months, proposes to address the specific nutritional needs of mothers and children in Eastern Sudan (Gedaref and Kassala States) by promoting interventions consisting of in-kind food transfers and cash-based transfers (CBT) "top-ups." The aim is to reduce the prevalence of malnutrition among children under five years old and pregnant and lactating women, targeting approximately 197.452 beneficiaries in total. The programme seeks to improve their purchasing power and promote Social and Behaviour Change Communication (SBCC) to prevent morbidity and mortality related to maternal and child malnutrition. read more close
