Description

In line with the needs outlined in the UNRWA oPt Flash Appeal (Apr-Dec 2024), the project addresses the vulnerabilities Palestine refugee children, including UNRWA students face, as they are impacted by ongoing violence socially, psychologically, as well as affecting their academic performance, through Education in Emergency and MHPSS interventions including: • Enhance provision of MHPSS to at least 20,000 students attending UNRWA schools in hotspot and volatile locations, through additional school counsellors and physical education teachers, distribution of MHPSS kits and implementation of security and risk awareness activities, to alleviate the stress and trauma that children are enduring • Ensuring safe access to education for 520 students attending schools in either remote or highly volatile locations, including Jeftlik, Yabad, Jenin, Nur Shams and Tulkarem. • Ensuring a safe, secure and enabling learning environment in UNRWA schools, read more close
