The project strategy entails objectives and activities aimed at achieving four main results: creation of the technological platform (BIS Phase 2) for collection and analysis of data relating to the tourism sector; development and strengthening of academic and professional curricula in the tourism sector, in order to reduce the gap between education and labour market demands in the tourism sector; creation of the Heritage Site Manager professional for the strategic management of tourist destinations and the conservation of cultural heritage; support for the management of the Regional Institute for Conservation and Restoration (RICR) of Jerash, which has been also established through Italian Cooperation funds, by ensuring the Capacity building of DoA staff on management skills. The project team comprises experts, specialized trainers for specialist training activities, software designers for the creation of the BIS Phase 2 platform, and researchers involved in the development of curricula and basic training, in particular for the figure of the Heritage Site Manager. A Technical Committee composed by representatives fom AICS, MoTA, experts and other stakeholders, will play a strategic role in guiding technical decisions and ensuring alignment with the project objectives.
