Description

In the specific area of cooperation activities, capacity-building actions by UNSSC aim to assist UN Resident Coordinators and Country Teams in the coordination, planning and execution of country programs in support of the achievement of the Sustainable Development Goals. UNSSC's objectives also include promoting collaboration and knowledge exchange between the UN System and Member States, NGOs and civil society. UNSSC makes a cross-cutting contribution to the pursuit of the SDGs through the training, particularly in development cooperation, gender equality, and the promotion of human rights, of UN's officials working concretely in the field to achieve them.
