Description
The initiative aims at guaranteeing the Offices and Units of the of the Italian Agency for Development Cooperation (AICS), the Vice Technical and Administrative Directorates (henceforth VDT/VDA) e the General Director the necessary technical, administrative and accounting assistance, the effective and full implementation of the development cooperation policies falling within the competence of the Agency as well as the pursuit of the public interests entrusted to its institutional mission, also in coherence with the provisions of the so called “Piano Mattei” (henceforth, Mattei Plan - D. L. no. 161/2023. converted into L. no. 2/2024). The Agency involvement within the “Cabina di Regia” of the Mattei Plan (art. 2 DL no.161/2023) , as well as the increasingly broad exposure to initiatives and funds promoted and made available by the European Commission and its delegations in Partner countries, will lead to the need to strengthen and support the technical-administrative capacity of the Agency. Thus, it is necessary to strengthen the capacity of the Agency's Offices, ensuring adequate quality standards - in the face of a constantly growing quantitative load - in all spheres and types of intervention, in line with the best national, European and international standards. In particular, the Initiative intends to ensure administrative assistance for the procedure embedded in the Call for Proposals 2023 for CSOs and territorial Entities, technical assistance and support for the management of activities connected to the implementation of the Mattei Plan and its development in African countries, as well as in support of the Italian Development Cooperation System, in addition to a qualified support both in the field of institutional relations and communication activities, and in the ability to provide and process quality statistical analyses required by the above-mentioned Piano Mattei.
