Description

The overall objective of the initiative is to contribute to the improvement of the living conditions of the most vulnerable Libyan population by increasing access to basic services, while the specific objective is to improve the delivery and quality of services provided to the population by ensuring that Libyan municipalities are provided with the assistance and resources necessary to improve the technical and administrative management of basic services. The strategy adopted is on the one hand to provide technical support to basic service delivery structures at the municipal level, through structural interventions, training activities, supplies of materials, equipment and machinery. On the other hand, the project aims at providing institutional support to municipalities, through the training of officials in order to help them in the formulation of integrated action plans to improve service delivery, the creation/support to emergency response offices (civil protection), the creation/support to the emergency response hotline, the setting up and equipment of multifunctional centers for citizen participation, training on social inclusion and human rights, the promotion of territorial partnerships between civil society organizations, both local and international, etc. . read more close
