Description

The ASSESS initiative aims to contribute to the development of the Sudanese health system in its capacity to promote forms of integrated assistance (territory, decentralized and specialized health structures) and to extend the health services for the entire Sudanese population, in particular for the IDPs relocated during the conflict. The objective is to strengthen the public health system with a specific focus on the services provided by basic health facilities, staff training and community education in the Sudanese States of Kassala, Gedaref, Red Sea and Gezira. A specific component is dedicated to educating and sensitising women and families on reproductive health, prevention of and response to gender-based violence (GBV) and harmful practices, with the aim of protecting, supporting and strengthening women's roles within the family and thus also within the community and working environments, in order to make women protagonists of decision-making processes Translated with DeepL.com (free version) read more close
