Description

The initiative aims to create a new center for the development of information technologies (ICT), the dissemination among the community and the incubation of startups. The center will be built in a new area of Tirana, so called 5 Maggio, identified by Tirana masterplan developed by the "Stefano Boeri Architetti" studio to house the IDPs who lost their homes due to the 2019 earthquake and who have not yet received permanent housing. The Municipality's intention is to create a new comfortable and stimulating neighborhood that can offer the community innovative, attractive and inclusive services for young people and vulnerable categories. The project will be executed by the Municipality of Tirana under the delegation of the Ministry of Infrastructure. It foresees a relevant know-how transfer component by top Italian companies in the ICT sector and startup incubation. Following a package of mentoring sessions addressing the target population, the most innovative business ideas will be supported and incubated in the new center with particular attention to prioritize the growth of businesses run by women and disabled people. read more close
