Description

The proposed project aims at establishing a multidisciplinary approach, based on education (high level: college and university) and cultural dynamics, for the elimination of all form of discrimination and gender stereotypes in Palestine. Gender stereotypes strongly affect the women participation in the social and political life in Palestine. More in depth, the project’s objective is to enhance a qualitative education system in Palestine and to initiate a transformative approach based on critical thinking dynamics on gender stereotypes throughout school activities and cultural events. Main target groups are youth and students (secondary schools and universities) in West Bank and Gaza strip, OtP. The project entails the starting phase of a master on gender studies in Palestine, students exchange with Italian universities and 3 years PHD programmes in Italy, workshops and cultural events targeting youth. In addition to described activities, the project has a multilateral component implemented by UNFPA; it is worth mentioning that both proposals are conceived as part of the same holistic approach. read more close
