Description

The initiative aims to address the conservation and management needs of cultural heritage, particularly the archaeological site of Tell es Sultan (ancient Jericho), improve the tourism approach, and support economic development and local communities as a result of planned project activities. In addition, the Palestinian Ministry of Tourism and Antiquities, as the government agency in charge of the preservation and management of cultural heritage, is promoting the inscription of Tell es Sultan on the World Heritage List. To this end, the site requires a series of specific interventions to make the public aware of its importance and make the place and its history attractive. read more close
