Description
The initiative embraces various aspects such as human rights instruments and related systems of safeguard, socioeconomic issues related to growth and environmental protection (Agenda 2030), policy choices connected with migrations, cultural diversity and dialogue, at international and regional level, involving states, intergovernmental institutions, nongovernmental organizations, as well as civil society engagement, whose main concerns and objectives are promoting peace and sustainable development, based on human security and ever more inclusive, open and harmonious societies. Three main thematic areas will be therefore taken in consideration in a three-day session dedicated to: Internationalization of human rights; Global challenges and socio-economic responses; Intercultural dialogue in the Euro-Mediterranean perspective. The proposed approach stands in coherence with the Rome International Seminar mission of giving to its selected audience of participating, including students and staff from partner universities in the Middle East and the Balkans, real opportunity for reflecting and discussing on the opportunities, risks and challenges that globalization process entails, with an aim to promote exchanges, relations and develop efforts for a culture of peace as a key-factor for reaching not only a greater and better understanding between peoples, but also more realistic prospects in terms of educational goals for the formation of new generations of leader
