Description

ICRC programme in Iraq, in line with the Organization mandate globally, is aimed at protecting civilians in accordance with the International Humanitarian Law (IHL) and with the local applicable laws. Therefore, its operational priorities are: (i) promoting the protection of civilians; (ii) enable people forcibly separated from their relatives to reconnect and reunite with them; (iii) support the authorities’ efforts to ascertain the fate of missing people; (iv) help vulnerable people to bolster their resilience to the effects of the conflict. Since the outbreak of the Covid 19 pandemic, ICRC had updated its priorities in its Country programme to include Covid 19 prevention and response activities. read more close
