Description

The Programme aims to provide humanitarian assistance to the most vulnerable populations (refugees, internally displaced persons, returnees and host communities) who are affected by several emergencies in Chad. The Program - developed in coordination with local authorities and other humanitarian actors operating in the field - will focus on two main sectors: Health and Nutrition. Particular attention will be paid to maternal and child health through support for the treatment of child malnutrition with school feeding programs, support for health centers and hospitals in identifying and treating children with acute malnutrition, and support for local health facilities (construction, rehabilitation and equipping of hospital facilities and primary health centers; the activation of mobile clinics and new technologies for the delivery of health services in remote areas where these are poorly available; the promotion of maternal and child health; and improving the accessibility of health centers in the most remote areas). The cross-cutting sectors will be protection, gender and disability. read more close
