Description
Voluntary contribution to the United Nations International Crime and Justice Research Institute (UNICRI) for the project "Assessing and Addressing the Nexus between Organised Crime and Terrorism in Africa", which is consistent with SDG 16, in particular for the establishment of the rule of law at the national and international level, ensuring equal access to justice for all targets (16. 3), combating organised crime (16.4), fighting corruption (16.5), building capacity to prevent violence and combat terrorism and crime (I6.a). The objectives are: to improve understanding of how the nexus between crime and terrorism manifests itself on the African continent; to build capacity to strengthen local, national and regional actors in preventing and combating the nexus between organised crime and terrorism in Africa.
