The initiative aims at contributing to the national HIV strategy for achieving universal health coverage, by strengthening the public health system services dedicated to the reduction of new HIV infections, the AIDS-related mortality and the stigma among adolescents and young people, in Machakos County. The indicators adopted by the initiative, excluding the one which has been identified for the General Objective (SDG - 3.3.1), can be attributed to the sets indicated in the Global Fund’s Modular Framework Handbook (2019) and measure the contribution generated by project to the guidelines and priorities sets by the presented national and regional strategic documents. The following indicators will be used: - Number of new HIV infections per 1,000 uninfected population; - Percentage of people living with HIV; Percentage of adolescent girls and young women aged 10-24 years reached with HIV prevention programs; - Percentage of vulnerable population that have received an HIV test during the reporting period and know their results; - Percentage of adults aged 15-24 years on antiretroviral therapy among all adults living with HIV at the end of the reporting period; - Percentage of children (under 15) on antiretroviral therapy among all children living with HIV at the end of the reporting period; - Percentage of young people aged 10–24 years reached by sexuality education and/or Lifeskills–based HIV education in and out of schools. read more close
