Description

Voluntary Contribution to Bioversity International for 2 initiatives: accelerate for Impact Platform and the Cocoa of Excellence. The initiative Accelerate for Impact Platform (A4IP) co-design the development of science-driven agro-tech and climate tech solutions as a mechanism to accelerate science-based innovation for transformative food system. The platform will provide advances in tech research for healthier, more sustainable and equitable agro-food systems, taking into account the important role of climate action. The cocoa of excellence project supports the operation to the Cacao laboratory and training centre of Excellence in Rome, which among other activities is responsible for selecting reference sample to train and calibrate global sensory evaluation of cocoa and training cocoa experts from the producing countries of Cameron, Cote d’Ivoire, Colombia and Ecuador. In addition, details fo the call for entries for 2025 awards edition will be prepared and launched directly involving 57 producing centuries to support the development of national competitions. This will highlight the importance and help organize the cocoa sector towards improving the quality of cocoa beans. read more close
