Description
The project represents an instant action designed to sustain the material and psychological reconstruction of the Maaloula community for an effective rebound and social cohesion of its members, promoting the return of original residents. The main areas of intervention, jointly identified with the local partner, are the educational sector (restoration of pre-existing school structures and activation of support services for children and young people), the economic sector (rehabilitation of the Agricultural Association and Consumer Organization, support for young people to access the labour market through the reopening of the TVET Technical and Professional Institute), and the cultural sector (renovation of the local Christian Cultural Center and its activities and implementation of initiatives to preserve the Aramaic language).
