Description

The project will support health and nutrition sector interventions in the greater Darfur area, provided by UNHCR and partners particularly in communities affected by forced displacement. This includes refugees and asylum-seekers, IDPs, refugee returnees and Sudanese host community members who are in close proximity to the displaced populations. The health and nutrition services provided will be available for these populations in their areas, on a continuous basis during the course of this project, generally through the primary healthcare facilities that UNHCR has already established. Nutrition situation monitoring and supplementation is also done by specialized Nutrition resources at UNHCR who coordinate and oversee the sector. The final outcome expected from this project is sustained or improved health and nutrition situation of the displaced populations, as indicated by the minimum emergency standards. read more close
