Description

In line with the UNICEF-RACE programme, this contribution to WFP helps to encourage the regular school attendance of vulnerable children as it reduces the costs incurred by their families for school feeding. The project also provide Lebanese and refugee children with a nutritional supplement and information on proper nutrition, in order to guarantee (in the short term) the energy needed to participate in school activities and improve (in the long term) their nutrition and health practices. The planned activities include the daily distribution of school snacks, the creation and management of school kitchens in public schools, and the organization of summer camps on nutrition and health education. read more close
