Description

EMERGENCY with this project aims to respond to the problems identified during the continuous needs analysis process, in order to contribute to the creation of a functional, fair and inclusive health system. The needs identified through direct and indirect sources of information are the following: difficulties in accessing healthcare facilities for the vulnerable population; lack of awareness on the importance of timely access to healthcare facility and prevention; lack of qualified health personnel; economic barriers that do not allow access to health services for the most vulnerable population; lack of qualified health personnel. EMERGENCY with this project aims to ensure free-of-charge access to quality health services for children under the age of 14, while at the same time carrying out health education activities aimed at prevention and training for local health workers. To help produce the necessary change to the problems identified, EMERGENCY considers essential: to continue to guarantee access to health services to the most vulnerable population, which will be able to benefit from primary healthcare and, if necessary, free admission within the Paediatric Centre in Goderich; to carry out innovative awareness-raising activities that will improve the ability of the population to promptly recognize signs and symptoms, while discouraging the use of traditional medicine, in order to promptly access the nearest, functioning health facility; to improve the on-the-job and theoretical training courses, according to international standards, in order to guarantee a new generation of qualified health personnel. read more close
