Description
The present initiative has the overall objective to reduce the threat posed by landmines in affected areas in Sudan, with focus on South Kordofan, and Blue Nile states by:
- survey and clearance of areas contaminated by landmines and ERW, and consequently release of land for safe use by population and humanitarian actors;
- provide landmine victims with socioeconomic and psychological support;
- strengthen the capacity of the National Mine Action Center (NMAC) for increased national mine action ownership;
- improve coordination and monitoring of humanitarian mine action across Sudan. read more close
