Description

The initiative aims at strengthening the local governance system in Libya to improve the management and delivery of basic services for the population.
The purpose of the initiative is twofold: on one hand, it seeks to provide technical support to central Libyan authorities in better defining their roles and responsibilities towards local institutions; on the other hand, it provides the municipalities with the financial resources to improve basic services for their constituencies, via a sub-grant competitive scheme.
