The program will enable the World Food Programme (WFP) to procure 194.129 mt of medium quantity lipid-based nutrient supplement (LNS-MQ) for the prevention of moderate acute malnutrition among children aged 6-23 months. The LNS-MQ will be distributed to eligible families who already receive GFA and will enrich the children’s diet with essential vitamins and minerals. The donation will support 129,419 vulnerable children aged 6-23 months for one month.Areas that see increased humanitarian needs are prioritised for WFP assistance. This includes areas with a high number of IDPs and returnees, such as eastern Aleppo where people have returned following the end in fighting in late 2016. read more close
