Description

The proposed initiatives aims at protecting the most vulnerable population victim of the conflict (IDPs, women, minors and people with disabilities) and at improving water and sanitation condition as well as maternal and child health.In particular, the programme - , formulated in coordination with local authorities and other humanitarian actors operating in the field – will provide , aims at and cost estimations (which have to be considered as budget-based) come from a market survey and availability of operators and products on the local market.Activities will focus on improving access to basic services and local resources, and increasing the visibility of AICS activities in North Kivu to local authorities, international organizations and Italian Entities locally and in Italy.In particular, efforts will be made to and at strengthening public health facilities, in the health and water-sanitation sector. In particular, activities will focus on in the area of prevention of maternal and -infant health and will engage in the, the fight against water diseases. and the strengthening of public healthcare facilities, through the provision of medical equipment, the support for the provincial blood transfusion system, empower extension of the network of the advanced health centerscentres, extend the availability of drinkable water in remote areas, training of staff members and campaigns to rraise public awareness on of the proper health behaviorsbehaviours.
