Description

The project aims at supporting the protection of Mrauk-U heritage site in Rakhine State. The project strategy, identified by UNESCO inpartnership with AICS Yangon, intends to sustain the Myanmar authorities in enhancing the heritage values and strengthen the conservation of the Mrauk-U monuments while addressing the common challenges linked to the development pressure. In order to tackle these issues, the Project aims to build the capacity of relevant stakeholders in both management and community engagement. In addition, the Project also focuses on further research which will contribute to a better understanding of the site values. read more close
