Description

The project is within the wider initiative "Multi Donor Initiative for Private Sector Development" which the Italian Cooperation is supporting since 2014 and whose aims is improving the business climate and the access to credit for SMEs in Ethiopia. The "Multi Donor Initiative for Private Sector Development" is composed of two pillars and two trust funds, the first one for the improvement of the business climate, the second one for the access to credit to SMEs. This project is a contribution for the 2nd pillar by improving the access to credit and investments for SMEs in the country, through: the creation of a bond market, of a credit bureau and of a national collateral registry; the financial innovation; the strengthening of bank and SMEs capacities, the promotion of private investments in agribusiness sector.
