Description
Voluntary contribution to OECD for the Academy for Tax and Financial Crime Investigation. The Academy's mission is to support developing jurisdictions in their enforcement of tax crimes and other fmancial crimes, thus stemming illicit financial flows, increasing domestic resource mobilisation, and building greater trust and confidence in the fairness of the tax system and the government as a whole. The envisaged contribution is consistent with the priorities of Italian Development Cooperation and contributes to the achievement of Sustainable Development Goals 16 and 17. In particular, it supports targets 16.4, 16.5, 16.6 and 16.a by strengthening capacities to combat illicit financial flows, corruption and fmancial crime and by promoting effective institutions. It also contributes to targets 17.9, 17.16 and 17.17 through capacity-building activities and the promotion of international partnerships and knowledge-sharing.
