Description
As part of the Italian Cooperation's response to the serious humanitarian crisis in Lebanon resulting from the escalation of the conflict in March 2026, this initiative aims to promptly address the humanitarian needs of the most vulnerable segments of the Lebanese and non-Lebanese population, with particular attention to women, children, the elderly, and persons with disabilities. Through a €2 million financial contribution to the Lebanon Humanitarian Fund (LHF), UNOCHA's Country-Based Pooled Fund for Lebanon, the aim is to support projects that adopt a rapid and intersectional approach, based on the protection of victims of the conflict and ensuring access to essential services for all, regardless of gender, age, disability, or nationality. The LHF, through implementing partners such as national and international NGOs, finances the activities envisaged in the Lebanon Response Plan (LRP) 2026, and in particular the Flash Appeal launched in response to the current humanitarian crisis in the country.
