Description

The voluntary contribution to the Voluntary Trust Funds of the International Seabed Authority is intended to support the participation of delegates from Developing Countries in the work of the Council and its subsidiary bodies (Legal and Technical Commission and Finance Committee). This support aims to ensure a balanced, inclusive and representative decision-making process in the governance of the Authority, ensuring that decisions taken by it adequately take into account the needs and specificities of developing countries, particularly with regard to the environmental protection of the marine environment and the equitable sharing of benefits derived from the exploitation of mineral resources. read more close
