Description

Voluntary contribution to UNIDO for the initiative "Global Coffee Initiative coordination strengthened and blended finance mechanisms operationalized to mobilize co-financing" integrated within the "Advancing Climate-resilience and Transformation in African Coffee Programme (ACT Coffee Programme)". The addition aims, on one hand, to strengthen synergies and coordination with the broader Italian strategy in the coffee sector, particularly through the involvement of the ACT program in the Global Coffee Initiative (GCI), the public-private platform that the Italian Government will launch together with the World Bank Group as part of the commitments undertaken during Italy's G7 Presidency. On the other hand, the project seeks to increase investment incentives by collaborating with African financial intermediaries, thereby creating a leverage effect to encourage the participation of local private actors and enhance the overall impact of the program. read more close
