Description

The project aims to contribute to a shared, structural, and sustainable response to the phenomenon of forced migration. In a context where the return of migrants presents complex challenges, the initiative seeks to support their socio-economic reintegration through targeted actions coordinated with local institutions. The planned interventions focus on four key areas: Promoting employment by creating concrete and sustainable job opportunities; Strengthening the technical and professional skills of returning migrants to improve their access to the labor market; Preventing irregular migration through the active involvement of local communities and the empowerment of civil society organizations; Creating spaces for dialogue between communities of origin and host communities, with the aim of reducing stigmatization and fostering inclusive environments conducive to reintegration. The main activities include: technical and vocational training (including dual education combining school and work), professional integration through mentoring and support programs, assistance for the launch of entrepreneurial initiatives by returning migrants, mapping and capacity building of local civil society organizations, and awareness campaigns to promote community dialogue. Areas of intervention: Senegal: Regions of Kolda, Sédhiou, Louga, Thiès ; Guinea: Special zone of Conakry, with particular focus on the territories of Dubréka and Coyah. read more close
